The Clemco Spin-Blast Tool Is Designed To Blast Clean Large Diameter Pipe With The Same Direct Force As Standard Blast Nozzles. Spin-Blast Mounts Two Tunsten Carbide Venturi Blast Nozzles Which Provide Mechanism To Rotate A Spinning Head While Propelling Abrasive To The Surface. Cleans Pipe At Rates Unobtainable By Any Other Means Due To Its Hard Hitting Force. Centering Carriages Help Ensure Uniform Coverage. Two New Centering Carriages Have Been Developed To Improve Spin-Blast Travel Through Piping. Model CSC-0817 Carriage Covers Diameters From 8" To 17", Model CSC-1236 Handles 12" To 36". Each Carriage Is Easily And Quickly Adjustable.

The Clemco Spin-Blast can be used with all common abrasives except aluminum oxide and silicon carbide. Simple preventive maintenance allows low-cost operation. The unit is a high production favorite of refineries, pipe liners, chemical producers, water and gas companies. Three Nozzle Sizes Are Available To Obtain The Best Possible Cleaning Rate. Nozzle Selection Is Based On Severity Of Surface Condition And Compressed Air Supply. Standard Unit Is Furnished With 1/4" Orifice 1-3/4" Long Nozzles. Refer To Chart Under "Parts Breakdown" Above For Recommendations That Apply To Specific Applications. Recommended 16 To 40 Mesh Abrasive Depending On Conditions.

The Clemco Spin-Blast is connected with 1-1/4 inch pipe lance to a standard Clemco blast machine . Preferably the lance should be the length (up to 40 ft.) of the pipe being cleaned. To operate, the Clemco Spin-Blast is first pushed through the length of the pipe while the blast machine is idle. The air is fed from the blast machine which starts the blast head rotating. With full rotating speed quickly obtained, the abrasive control valve on the Clemco blast machine is opened. When the abrasive ejects from the spinning nozzle then the blasting is is progress, signaling the operator to withdraw the tool to clean the entire pipe length. Blasting speed is determined by the specific cleaning requirements. Standard unit delivered with 1/4 inch orifice by 1-3/4 inch long nozzles.

For Your Own Health Silica Sand Is Not Recommended And For Legal Reasons Voids The Warranty, Though Sand Will Flow Easily Through This Machine. Breathing Dust From Silica Sand May Cause Silicosis, A Fatal Lung Disease. Breathing Dust During Blasting Operations May Also Cause Asbestosis And/Or Serious Other Diseases. A NIOSH Approved And Well-Maintained Air Supplied Abrasive Blasting Respirator Must Be Used By Anyone Blasting, Anyone Handling Or Using The Sand And Anyone In The Area Of The Dust. Harmful Dust Can Remain Suspended In The Air For Long Periods Of Time After Blasting Has Ceased, Causing Serious Injury Or Death
